Nonna's Table
Nonna's Table is a site we designed and built for a family trattoria on Ramsay Street, Haberfield, open since 1987. The menu is text, the booking is a phone call, and the story is the one the family tells at the table.

Scroll and the site scrolls with you. Or open it live.
The brief
A restaurant that has served the same ragu for thirty nine years does not need a site that looks like a chain. It needs the hours and the address where a phone can find them, a menu Google can read, a way to book that works for a kitchen without a reservations system, and a note for people planning a function in the back room. Friday and Saturday book out a fortnight ahead, and the site needed to say so plainly rather than leave people disappointed on the night.
The approach
The headline is "Same ragu. Same table. Thirty nine years." and the intro starts with Nonna in the front room of a terrace, because the story is the brand. The design is dark charcoal with cream, gold and tomato red, set in Anton for headings and Libre Franklin for body, which gives it the look of a sign that has been on the wall a long time. Hours and address sit in blocks right under the hero, dinner, lunch and find us, because that is what most visitors came for. The menu is plain text with prices, no PDF and no photos, so it loads instantly and search engines can read every dish. Booking is a phone button.
The build
A single page with anchors for the kitchen, menu and book. A hero with the headline and intro. Three blocks for dinner hours, lunch hours and the address. A story section. A text menu split into to start and pasta and mains, with prices. One Google review. A booking section with a tap to call button and notes on set menus for groups of eight or more and the back room that seats twenty eight. A footer with a functions note.

Desktop and phone. The phone view is where most visitors will meet it.
