Just Like Home by Nicole
Nicole looks after a handful of dogs at a time from her home in Randwick, and she wanted a site that felt like her. The job was to get enquiries arriving with dates already chosen, so she spends less time going back and forth.

The brief
Just Like Home by Nicole is a one person dog sitting business that started in 2023 and covers Randwick, Coogee, Bondi, Paddington and the suburbs between. Nicole takes a maximum of three dogs per stay, so availability matters more than anything else on the page. The site needed to show her prices and deposit terms plainly, make it easy to call or text from a phone, show real photos of past guests, and let a visitor check which dates were open before they wrote to her.
The approach
Nicole's voice is warm and a little funny, so the copy is written in first person and signed off the way she signs her messages. The palette is blush, cream and clay, soft without being sugary. We chose not to load any web fonts at all; the page uses the system font, which keeps the homepage under 30KB of HTML and means it opens instantly on a phone in the park. Prices sit on numbered cards near the top because people want the cost before they read anything else, and the deposit terms are stated beside them rather than buried in an email later. Every testimonial is credited to its Instagram source, and the photos are her own guests.
The build
A single long homepage with a separate enquiry page. The enquiry page carries a built in availability calendar with month arrows and colour coded dates for available, limited and fully booked, with no third party widget and no monthly fee. The form asks for the service, the dogs, and dates from and to, so each enquiry lands with the booking already shaped. Tap to call and SMS links sit at the top and bottom of every page. There is a photo gallery with a lightbox, an Instagram feed, three testimonials, a Google review link and a nine question FAQ.
