Homebody Pet Sitting
Homebody Pet Sitting is a site we designed and built for an in home pet sitting and drop in visit service covering Marrickville, Dulwich Hill, Newtown and the suburbs around them. Pets stay home; the sitter comes to them.

Scroll and the site scrolls with you. Or open it live.
The brief
A one person pet sitting business offering overnight house sitting, drop in visits, day sitting and visits for cats and small animals, with a free meet and greet and daily photo updates. Pet owners booking a sitter are anxious by default, so the site needed to do the reassurance quickly: who the sitter is, where she goes, that she is insured and police checked, what it costs, and how it works. It also needed a clear path to an enquiry and answers to the questions people always ask.
The approach
The page is ordered the way a nervous pet owner thinks. Hero, then a trust bar, then the sitter introducing herself in first person, then the suburbs, then the four services with guide prices, then why in home sitting is better for the animal, then reviews, then how it works in three steps, then quick answers. The headline puts the word home in italics because that is the whole point. The palette is blush, cream and clay with Playfair Display for headings, Hanken Grotesk for body and Caveat as a handwritten accent for the personal touches. Prices are given as from figures so nobody has to email to find out roughly what it costs.
The build
A homepage and a separate enquiry page with an anchored FAQ. Navigation for services, how it works, reviews and FAQ with a send an enquiry button. A badge for seasonal bookings, a trust bar, a founder introduction with photo, a service area list, four service cards with guide prices, a four point case for in home sitting, testimonial cards with names, suburbs and pet types, a three step how it works, a quick answers FAQ linking to the full list, and a closing call to action. Tap to call, email and social links in the footer.

Desktop and phone. The phone view is where most visitors will meet it.
