Fairbank Air Conditioning
Fairbank Air Conditioning is a site we designed and built for a family run air conditioning company working across inner Sydney. Most air conditioning sites compete on price; this one competes on knowing how to put ducting into a late 1800s terrace.

Scroll and the site scrolls with you. Or open it live.
The brief
An independent, family run air conditioning business doing installation, scheduled maintenance, repairs and commercial work, with a specialty in heritage homes and terraces around Darlinghurst, Balmain, Glebe, Newtown and Bondi. The site needed to set the business apart from the many installers advertising the same brands, give homeowners in conservation areas a reason to trust it with their ceilings and facades, and make requesting a quote simple, all on one page that could be read on a phone on a hot afternoon.
The approach
The headline, "Comfort, engineered for Sydney's most particular homes", does the positioning in one line. The design borrows from the houses it is for: navy and ice blue with a brass accent, Libre Baskerville for headings, Inter for body, and generous space. The heritage and terrace section sits second, before the why section, because it is the reason to choose Fairbank over anyone else. Copy is first person plural, confident and understated, and the repairs description says pricing is stated before work starts. We kept the page deliberately light: two calls to action, a stats row and two images. The quote path is email, which suits a business that wants to look at a job before naming a figure.
The build
A single page with anchor navigation for services, the heritage and terrace specialty, why Fairbank and request a quote. Service sections for ducted, split and multi head installation, scheduled maintenance, repairs across major brands, and commercial work for offices, clinics and multi tenancy buildings. A heritage section about late 1800s terraces and conservation area homes. A stats row, two photographs, and two calls to action, one to request a quote and one to the heritage specialty. Quote requests go by email.

Desktop and phone. The phone view is where most visitors will meet it.
