Roasted upstairs. Poured downstairs. Never older than a week.
We roast three days a week in the back room and sell what comes off it. If a bag has been sitting around we drink it ourselves.
On the bar this week
Kieni, Nyeri, Kenya
What it tastes like
Washed · SL28 and SL34 · 1,750m
Sharp and clean, the sort of cup that wakes you up whether you wanted it to or not. Blackcurrant first, then something like grapefruit as it cools. Works better as filter than as a flat white, and we will tell you so at the counter.
How we are brewing it
- Filter
- 22g to 360g, 2:45
- Espresso
- 19g to 42g, 27 seconds
- Roasted
- Tuesday this week
- Bag
- 250g, $24
Changes every Tuesday. If you liked one and want it again, tell us and we will hold a bag back.
Take some home
Beans, ground how you brew.
House blend
Brazil and Colombia. Chocolate, hazelnut, forgiving with milk. The one that never changes.
Single origin
Whatever is on the bar this week. Right now the Kieni. Filter roast, best without milk.
Decaf, sugar cane
Colombian, decaffeinated with sugar cane rather than chemicals. Tastes like coffee, which is the hard part.
Wholesale
Cafes and offices across the Inner West.
We deliver Tuesday and Friday between Leichhardt and Newtown. Machine on loan if you are doing more than four kilos a week, and we come and dial it in ourselves rather than sending a manual.
Tell us what you are pouring now and roughly how much of it. We will send prices back the same day.
